Activities for the Park Blocks, 2018
w/ Andrea Amaya, Brianna Ortega, & Jordan Rosenblum

An experiential research project in collaboration with the Portland State University Art & Social Practice program, exploring Portland’s South Park Blocks as a site. Activities for the Park Blocks exists as a digitally-drawn map and series of scores as a means to actively engage participants with the urban and ecological networks at the heart of PSU campus. Each score is a brief summary of environmental and historical research related both specifically to the Park Blocks and the greater city, asking the audience to follow through similar, less academic processes of hands-on investigation. Scores address local monuments, flora, fauna, human intervention, and cartography as ways of uncovering the stories and systems embedded in the park while remaining critical of colonial and industrial imposition.
